The body of missing climber Grant Cunliffe was found in the Cairngorms on Thursday afternoon.
Mr Cunliffe (49), a former hairdresser who ran a successful salon in Barnoldswick for 25 years, had not been seen since walking in the Lairig Ghru pass in January.
His remains were found by an RAF helicopter at around 3.30 p.m. in the Braeriach area of the Cairngorms.
Police said they were assisted by the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team and RAF Search and Rescue helicopter in the recovery operation and added that Mr Cunliffe’s death was not being treated as suspicious.
