Pendle Wavelengths has been shortlisted in the region’s second annual Members Choice Health Club Awards.
The Nelson fitness facility is up against other centres in Chorley, Knowsley, Blackburn, Preston, Bolton and Blackpool in the North-West category.
Wavelengths is a leisure centre with fun for all the family, including a swimming pool with a roof-high water slide and wave machine; two fitness suites kitted out with all the latest exercise equipment and a multi-purpose dance studio which is used for various fitness classes and dance mat sessions.
It is also home to Inside Spa, which offers a haven of pure indulgence in which to relax, unwind and de-stress, as well as providing a full range of body and beauty treatments.
The Awards scheme measures the quality of facilities, customer service and value for money by asking members to rate their centre through an online questionnaire. Over 37,000 members voted in this year’s competition.
Simon Brown, who runs the competition, said: “Only 180 clubs across the UK have reached the shortlist stage of the competition nationally and every single one of them should be extremely proud of that fact. There’s no better endorsement for a club than from the customers that are using the facilities on a regular basis and that says a huge amount about the way these clubs are run.”
On September 18th, the regionally gold, silver and bronze winners will be announced.
