CLARETS legend Andy Payton will be signing copies of his new book Living The Dream at Asda tomorrow from 10-30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Payton is donating £1 for each book sold to Alzheimer’s Society.
He is also officially launching the book at a ‘Curry and Comedy’ night at the Usha restaurant on Rossendale Road, on Thursday, with the profits from the ticket money being donated to Alzheimer’s Society and the Residents’ Fund at Nelson Manor Care Home.
The ‘Curry and Comedy’ night, with former players and special guests, is from 7 p.m., with tickets £18.
Stephen Hughes, Alzheimer’s Society Support Service Manager for East Lancashire said: “Andy Payton is a true legend, and as a Clarets season ticket holder myself I am delighted he has chosen to support us and help us improve the quality of life of everyone affected by dementia. I hope many Burnley fans will buy the book either as a Christmas present or for themselves.”

• ACCRINGTON Stanley are looking to trace all of the players that represented Stanley in 1961-62 season and find out where they are now.
All will then be invited to be the guests of honour at Stanley’s home game with Port Vale on March 3rd next year – which is 50 years since their last game at Crewe before they were forced to resign from the Football League due to debts.
Quite a few have passed away, but the club are trying to trace relatives of George Forrester, Alex Hamilton, Bill Smith, Lawson Bennett and Paddy Mulvey.
It’s believed one of them, Alan Gregor, was last heard of when previously running the White Lion pub in Burnley.
The club have heard from four players in total so far, including three who played in that final game at Crewe.
Anyone with any information can get in touch either by ringing 01254 356950, emailing media@accringtonstanley.co.uk or writing to Dan Jewell at the club.
