A 22-year-old factory worker was trapped when the forklift truck he was driving fell over.
He ended up with his ankle stuck under the heavy vehicle and had to be rescued.
It happened at teatime on Monday at a plant off Waidshouse Road, Nelson. The victim, who has not been named, is from Barnoldswick.
The police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene, and the victim was trapped for around 20 minutes. His ankle was feared to have been broken so the paramedics took him to the Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
Acting Crew Manager Tony Clough from Nelson Fire station said: “We were very pleased to get him out of there quickly. He was in quite a lot of pain but he was pleased we rescued him.”
