SIX young swimmers from Colne ASC recently travelled to the Palatine Leisure Centre in Blackpool for the North Lancs Level 3 Meet.
Between them there was one first place, three second places and two third places amongst the 45 swims, with 21 of those done in new personal best times.
The youngest swimmer, Ben Havers-Strong, who is only nine was presented with two speeding tickets in the 50m Backstroke and Freestyle events for going too fast!
In total he did six swims with all of them being in new personal best times.
Miranda Bower (12) won the 50m Freestyle and was second in the 200m Freestyle.
She swam a total of nine swims with one of them being a new personal best.
Nicole Baxter (13 years) finished second in the 200m Butterfly and third in the 50m Butterfly. She had a total of 12 swims with four of them being in a new personal best.
Ashleigh Dibb (14) swam a total of three events, with two of them being in new personal best time.
Danielle Baxter (10) finished third in the 100m Individual Medley.
She swam a total of 10 events with six of them in a new personal best time.
George Connolly (12) finished second in 50m Freestyle.
In total he had five swims with two of them in a new personal best time.
