THE makeover at Victoria Park is moving full steam ahead.

New boss Mark Fell has certainly stamped his mark on the club following a complete, and necessary, overhaul of the Nelson FC playing squad.

The former Whinney Hill boss, alongside assistant Tim Breaker, had initially secured the services of Danny Finch, Tom Murphy, Chris Turner, Adam Stockdale and Nat Taylor at Lomeshaye Way’s Little Wembley but now that list has been added to considerably.

Brandon Barski, Benjamin Bridson, Matthew Haworth, Toqiiz Hussain, Daniel Johnson, Patryic Mactejewski, Thomas Murphy, Michael Pilkington and Jamie Whiteman are all new names in the fold as the Blues look to pick up form in the North West Counties First Division.

Fell’s side were subjected to a ninth defeat from their last 11 fixtures in all competitions at weekend as they were dumped out of the divisional trophy in the second round by Abbey Hey. Paul Smith gave the home side the lead in the 12th minute before Liam Murray doubled the advantage on the half-hour mark.

The Blues now host Atherton Collieries tomorrow, kick-off 3 p.m.
