COULD you consider offering a permanent home and family to a child who is not able to live with their birth family? Come along to an information evening in Nelson to find out more.
The Lancashire County Council-run event will be held in Nelson Library on Monday from 6pm to 8pm with a slide show presentation at 6-15pm.
People who have adopted will be there to share their experiences, and social workers will also be available to answer any questions you might have, talk you through the process and offer confidential advice.
The council needs people from all backgrounds. You must be over 21, and living in Lancashire or close by, but whatever your race, gender, sexuality, living arrangements, age and employment status, the council wants to hear from you.
Everyone is very welcome on the night, but if you can’t make it, call 0800 0286349 or visit www.lancashire.gov.uk/love.
