The President of the Nelson, Brierfield and Reedley Rotary Club, Rod Marsden has completed a one mile charity swim at Pendle Wavelengths, a total of sixty-four lengths!
The Rotary Club is a society dedicated to community service, the Club’s motto is “Service Before Self” and in achieving this aim they donate to many worldwide and local causes. Rod Marsden, Club President has raised over three hundred pounds and is seen here handing over £155.25 cheque to Rotary Club Treasurer, Harry Todd. The Club regularly donates to several charities and the money here will be donated to them as well. These charities include The Air Ambulance Service, The National Deaf Children’s Society and the Alzheimer’s Society, as well as many others. The remaining money will be given to the Pendleside Hospice.
