PENDLE Council has congratulated its towns and villages which achieved North West in Bloom awards in the summer.
The teams were invited to Nelson Town Hall where they were met by the Mayor of Pendle, Coun. Asjad Mahmood.
This year, Pendle took two gold and three silver gilt awards. Colne in Bloom won gold in the Large Town Class, while Barnoldswick won gold in the Town Class.
Blacko won silver gilt in the Village Class, and Barrowford was the same in Small Town Class. And Trawden was named silver gilt in the Large Village Class.
So the council was pleased to hold a special event for all the winners involved in making their towns and villages look lovely thanks to blooming great flower arranging.
