DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a fight in Barrowford in which one man suffered head injuries and another suffered a broken leg.
Around 11.15pm on Saturday 12 January, police were called to a disturbance on Gisburn Road near to the George and Dragon pub.
On arrival, officers found a number people fighting and a number of people were treated for minor injuries by paramedics at the scene.
A 45 year old man was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital with head injuries, where he remains for observations, and a 25 year old man was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital where he had surgery on a fractured leg.
Detectives are currently making enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and how these individuals sustained their injuries.
Detective Sergeant Lukmaan Mulla said: “As a result of our initial enquiries, we know there were a lot of people both inside the George and Dragon and on the street who may have witnessed this fight.
“We are keen to speak to anybody who saw it who hasn’t already spoken with us, as well as anyone who has any information at all about this incident or the people involved.”
