POLICE are appealing for information after following a disturbance in Brierfield on Thursday night.
Around 6-30 p.m., a fight broke out between a number of Asian men in Halifax Road, near the Oasis off-license during which a 28-year-old man received a number of stab wounds and is currently in a stable condition in hospital. A 42-year-old man also received facial injuries.
Four men aged 26, 32, 39 and 40, all from the Pendle area, have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and are in custody being questioned by detectives.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Withers said, “This was a particularly nasty and violent incident and I would urge anyone with any information to come forward and contact police.”
