Clarets keeper Brian Jensen is set to continue his testimonial with a golf day on Wednesday, April 24th at Marsden Park.

‘The Beast’ is celebrating his 10th year with the club and held ‘A night with Brian Jensen’ at Turf Moor earlier this month, which featured appearances from the promotion-winning squad of 2009, following a successful ‘Race Night with a Difference’ in November to kick-off his testimonial year.

Both nights were attended by a number of loyal supporters and the golf day is expected to attract similar attention.

The day is taking place at Marsden Park, Nelson, with teams of four set to play a Stableford. A maximum handicap allowance of 24 has been set for all men, and an allowance of 36 for both ladies and juniors.

On all par 3s there will be a nearest the pin prize, with the longest drive’ and hole in one prize taking place on the 11th and 17th hole respectively.

Tee-times will be from 9 a.m. to 3-15 p.m. and registration will take place within the clubhouse, where bacon sandwiches will be available.

Gifts will also be provided for all competitors.

There will also be a testimonial dinner on Saturday, April 6th in the James Hargreaves Stand at Turf Moor, with tickets priced at £50 for gold, £40 for silver and £30 for bronze.

Alastair Campbell will compere the event, and there will be live music, and a comedy impressonist in the form of Britain’s Got Talent’s Les Gibson.
