PARK High School have shown more sporting prowess, with both Year 8 and 7 netball teams celebrating league success.

The Year 8 girls beat Pendle Vale 32-0, having previously beaten West Craven 20-4 and Fishermore 12-6.

The formidable team of Sophia Quinn, Jade Vaja, Sarah Wilson, Darcie Lonsdale, Ella Taylor-Dale, Ella Mitchell, Millie King and Jessica Dean played exceptionally well in all matches.

Team captain Quinn and Vaja received special mention for their outstanding performances in all matches.

Last year, as a Year 7 team, they were Pendle champions, both in the league and in the tournament.

Year 7 beat Pendle Vale 8-0 to become runners-up in their league, only losing one match, playing really well throughout their league games, especially their first game at Marsden Heights, winning 10-1, goal shooter Ruby Ormerod playing a great game.

In the second game at Fisher-More, the girls started off well, but Fisher-More were a tight team who played a very skilful game.

Holly Pinder was outstanding, putting up an incredible fight in defence.

The third game was against Primet, where Park High won 22-0 with Amy Southern and Emily Lockwood performing brilliantly.

The final game against Pendle Vale resulted in an 8-0 victory with some lovely play by Ella Kitchen and exceptional defence from Rebecca Ferguson.

This year’s Pendle tournament is to be played on Thursday, April 25th at Pendle Vale where Year 8 (pictured, left, s) are aiming to win the double again, and Year 7 (pictured, right, s) aim to beat Fisher-More to become champions!
