AFTER working at St John’s CE Primary School in Nelson for 25 years, Mrs Patricia “Trish” Salmon is going to be sadly missed by staff and pupils.
Mrs Alison Scott-Miller, administrator at the school, explained: “We were sorry to say goodbye to Mrs Salmon. She has been our dinner lady at school for 25 years.
“She says she has enjoyed working with all the children at lunch times and that she has been on lots of trips with us and also helped out in the classrooms.
“She hopes to spend some more time at home working around the house and she will miss us – lots. We gave her some presents and a card to say thank you. Our school governors also gave her presents as well.”
