The manageress of a family-run Colne firm has this week been given a taste of Hollywood after being selected to visit suppliers in Spain.
Sharon Jackson, who set up Harp Ceramics six years ago with her husband Paul, was just one of two North-West businesses to receive a prestigious invite from Spanish factory Porcelanosa. The co-owner set off on her exciting trip on Wednesday, and is set to make her return to Colne today (Friday).
During her Valencia visit, Mrs Jackson spent time mingling with New York and Hollywood managers, learning about tile trends and seeing how tiles are manufactured
Harp Ceramics was chosen to stock Porcelanosa products at the end of last year, after staff proved their passion for the industry.
Speaking ahead of her visit, Mrs Jackson, a former manageress of Debenhams, and Boundary Mills, said: “I think it is fantastic that a small, individual shop like us has been chosen for this trip.
“People can see what it means to us and how passionate we are.”
This year Harp Ceramics will be undergoing an expansion, which will see the store extended and an apprenticeship scheme launched.
