When Brierfield hosts a key Coronation Jubilee Concert on Saturday, June 8th, there will be TV singing competition winner Grace O’Malley – joined by two Chelsea Pensioners!
This is the third year Brierfield and Reedley Action Group has put on this event at a superb venue – Marsden Heights Community College. And it has got lots of surprises!
There will be video clips accompanying songs and very special guests - two pensioners coming up from the Royal Chelsea Hospital.
Singer Grace from Rossendale recently won a BBC/Rotary Award live on BBC News 24.
And the Clitheroe Town Band will also entertain with music.
From the Coronation Jubilee Concert, proceeds go to two charities – the Royal British Legion and Pendleside Hospice. It will include lots of wonderful songs, including the Queen’s Coronation celebration! It will be a great night of music and memories!

• A series of events for families is being held in Brierfield in coming weeks for people to share their memories and stories of the town.
Visitors are being encouraged to take along photos and objects by Brierfield Action in the Community.
The first takes place at Brierfield Library, in Colne Road, between 2 and 4-30pm today. There will be a spring fair on Saturday, June 8th, between 1 and 3-30pm at the Family Tree Sure Start Centre, in Tunstill Square.
The third event will be at Brierfield Methodist Church between 10am and noon on June 13th.
