Cycling sensation Steven Burke helped give a boost of pedal power to a father and son duo over the weekend.
The Olympic gold medallist was at Fox’s Cycles, in Dockray Street, on Saturday to show his support to Malcolm and James Redford.
The duo were setting off on a 280-mile trek to the London Eye to drive up funds for the Macular Society.
Malcolm was diagnosed with macular degeneration three years ago. He decided to take on the charity challenge to raise money to help with research, and to prove that it is still possible to be active when you have a debilitating disease.
