David Taylforth enjoyed a great day of sunshine on his Captain’s Day at Ghyll Golf Club.
The winner was last year’s captain Bob Bugler with 37 points.
There were three with 36 points - second was Carl Nevison, third Sian Grace and fourth James Cowgill.
Steve Platt came fifth with 35 points and Stuart Hoyle won the Senior’s prize, also with 35 points.
The front nine was won by Andy Gibb, the back nine by Scott Boardman and the middle six by Sheldon Pickles.
The Junior winners were, in Category 0-28, Jack Cheetham with 39 points, ahead of Sam Bugler with 33 points, in Category 29-54, Kyle Horn with 47 points, ahead of Joseph Darcy with 44 points.
Nearest the pin was Adam Rowley.
It was the 50th Captain’s Day that Yorkshireman Eric Hepworth has taken part in.
His contribution to the club over the years has been enormous and he continues to support the club in his position as Chairman of Greens. Long may he continue!
