The inquest of a pensioner found dead at his home in Colne has been adjourned.
Anthony Townson (80) was discovered dead at his High Street home by his granddaughter on Thursday.
The inquest heard how Mr Townson was bed-bound with severe health problems including asbestosis and had been visited by a GP the day he died.
The inquest was adjourned pending the results of histological tests to ascertain the cause of death.
East Lancashire coroner Mr Richard Taylor adjourned the inquest pending the results of the tests.
