A Nelson man who admitted downloading indecent photos of young boys in a public library has been sent for treatment.
Philip Metcalfe (52), of Reedyford Road, Nelson, admitted the offences when he appeared before Pennine magistrates last month and appeared in court again for sentencing. He was given a three-year supervision order which will include the Internet Sex Offenders Treatment programme, ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for five years and must pay a victim surcharge of £60 and court costs of £85.
The offences were said to have been committed at Colne Library between 2003 and 2012.
