Colne back in action as Darwen visit the XLCR

Colne are back in action tomorrow with their first pre-season friendly against Darwen tomorrow at the XLCR Stadium (kick-off 3 p.m.).

Admission to the game is free.

There follows a trip to Haslingden St Mary’s for the reserves on Tuesday (7 p.m.), before the Reds’ first team travel to Accross for a derby with Nelson on Saturday, July 20th (3 p.m.).

The same day the reserves are at Hurst Green, also at 3 p.m..

Nigel Coates’ side then host Chadderton on Tuesday, July 23rd (7-15 p.m.), while the reserves are at Burnley United on the 25th (7 p.m.).

Colne entertain Rochdale Town on Saturday, the 27 (3 p.m.), and end their preparations at home to Ramsbottom United on Tuesday, the 30 (7-45 p.m.).

Their first league game is at Bootle on Saturday, August 3rd (3 p.m.), with Colne drawn in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round on Saturday, August 17th against South Shields (3 p.m.), with the winners travelling to August Albion Sports or North Shields on the 31st.

In the FA Vase, Colne have a bye until the Second Qualifying Round onSaturday, September 21st, when they will travel to September Esh Winning or Liversedge.

In the league, Colne’s first home games are against AFC Blackpool on Wednesday, August 7th (7-45 p.m.), and AFC Liverpool on the 10th (3 p.m.).

The Reds are then at Silsden on the 14th (7-45 p.m.), before a trip to Abbey Hey on Tuesday, the 20th (7-45 p.m.), and a home clash with Winsford United on the 24th (3 p.m.).

Colne round off August at Wigan Robin Park on Tuesday, the 27th (7-45 p.m.).
