Colne is continuing to help our heroes by hosting a fun-filled night complete with cricket, a raffle and live entertainment.

Taking place at Colne Cricket Club from 6pm on Friday, July 19th, the event, which has been organised by Philip Chester, will see a Colne CC XI and 9 Regt AAC go head to head, as well as performances from Russell Shaun and Crash.

Colne Cricket Club’s chairman Jane Williamson said: “Our Armed Forces do a great job serving our country, and as a club we are proud to be able to support them by raising funds for injured service men and women. We’re urging the people of Colne to come down and back our troops, enjoy the game and then dance the night away afterwards in the clubhouse, all to support Help for Heroes.”

And Coun. Paul White added: “This is just the kind of thing Colne needs, and I hope the town will turn out to support it.”

The £2 Help for Heroes night follows a number of armed forces events that have been taking place in Colne recently
