Approximately six sets of travellers set up home in Ball Grove Park last night.
A number of caravans and vehicles are currently on the Cottontree site, off the A6068.
Pendle Council visited the park this morning, and it is hoped to get the travellers moved on as soon as possible.
According to Coun, Paul White, the group is not believed to be the French family who were evicted last month from Pendle Leisure Centre’s car park.
He said: “I don’t think it’s the same ones as before. The number plates weren’t French.
“Somebody from Property Services will be going down shortly, and paperwork is being drawn up to have them legally moved on.”
More to follow.
