Colne are down to their last six games as they look for their first Lancashire League win of the season.

On Sunday they looked poised for another defeat at home to Church - the only side to lose to Colne all season, in the Worsley Cup.

But the weather intervened, with the game finishing as a no-result.

Church were in charge of proceedings at the Horsfield, as they totalled 230-9, and they had the locals at 43-4 in reply before the rain came.

Church captain Craig Fergusson top-scored for the visitors with 62 off 110 balls, including five fours, while Harvey Aspin added 32, Adam Greenwood 28, Andrew Bentley 20, Phil Gilrane 20 not out and Sam Tucker 22 not out.

Colne professional Shadley van Schalkwyke took 3-61.

Then Lloyd Aspin (2-32) and Bodhisha (2-11) struck each to leave Colne struggling on 43-4 with van Schalkwyk on 22 not out. Colne are at East Lancs on Sunday.
