An ambitious dance teacher from Trawden is on the lookout for the grumpiest, happiest and the fairest of all local residents.
As part of her dance school’s one year celebrations, Keeley Terry (23) has made a bid to put on Foulridge’s “first pantomime”.
The former Nelson and Colne College student, who runs Premier Dance and Fitness, will be staging the popular fairytale Snow White at Foulridge Village Hall between December 20th and 21st.
Having performed herself from the tender age of five, and having seen the success of Colne Muni’s annual productions, Keeley decided it was the right time to bring slapstick to the village community.
Keeley, of Rock Lane, Trawden, who this year graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in Exercise and Fitness Management, said: “Producing my first pantomime will definitely be a huge task, but one I am looking forward to.
“I have had quite a lot of contact with the parish council, who are backing the pantomime 100%, and believe it is a fantastic opportunity for the local children.
“All the children who participate in classes here at Premier are looking forward to auditioning for Snow White and I have had great response on Facebook.”
Auditions for Snow White will take place on September 1st from 2pm at Foulridge Village Hall.
Anybody of any age is welcome to attend.
Keeley, who runs classes including children’s dance, adult’s fitness and school holiday “Kids’ Clubs”, is also looking for volunteers aged 16 and above to help produce the show.
