YOUNG rugby stars in Colne and Nelson were given the perfect early Christmas present when they won a national competition.
Colne and Nelson Rugby Club’s Under 13s are now wearing brand new kits after winning the competition run by NAPIT (National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers.).
To win the prize, the club were nominated by two local electrical companies Bravo Electrical Services and Strickland Electrical.
The club was judged on its child protection policy, age groups covered and past successes together with the quality of the application.
A major factor in NAPIT supporting the Colne entry was the fact that the club have just won the Lancashire RFU Ian Sincair award for the work the club puts into the local community.
