Local cyclist Lucy Horrocks led the way as North West B won the Inter Area Team Championships youth section at Prissick Base in Middlesbrough at the weekend.
Lucy was top-scoring Nort West girl as they finished with 134 points, ahead of East Midlands B (141), Yorkshire B (155), West Midlands B (164) and North East B (170).
The Hope Factory Racing rider is currently ranked fifth in the UK in the Cyclocross youth rankings for Under 16s, despite only being 13.
She competes in the Under 14 age category, which is included on the national rankings with the Under 16s, and she is the highest ranked under 14 at present.
She is second in the National Trophy Series after two rounds.
In round one in Monmouthshire last month, Lucy finished fourth, and but earlier this month, in Southampton, Lucy finished top of the pile.
In a series of six rounds, Lucy is next in action this weekend at Durham University Cricket Club.
