Brierfield Celtic Under 13 Whites secured a rare win with a convincing performance against Barnoldswick to put them into the second round of the cup.
Celtic were 4-0 up at half time and finished up 7-2 winners.
Barnoldswick’s stand in keeper Luke Roberts was by far the man of the match, and for him it could quite easily have been many more.
Man of the match for the Whites was Ashley Ludlam, scoring twice and setting two up.
Celtic’s Under 10s Blues also enjoyed a comprehensive win in the cup.
Playing Pendle Forest Black they eventually ran out 7-1 winners, with goals for William Sledding, Nathan Allan, Jude Mercer, Bailie Copeland and a hat-trick from substitute Max Abbot.
Man of the match was Thomas Soul.
l BARROWFORD Celtic Whites and Oranges Under 11s played out a seven-goal thriller.
Without a game since November both teams played their part in an exciting derby.
Against the run of play the Oranges took the lead midway through the first half, but shortly before half-time, good work from Jack Holgate led to a deserved equaliser.
In the second half the Oranges twice took the lead, only for Robbie Park to equalise on both occasions.
With the Whites finishing the stronger, man of the match Holgate, who causeed problems for the Oranges’ defence all game, finished well for a deserved victory.
l COLNE Under 13s continued their good run in the league with an 8-5 victory against Barnoldswick.
Four goals from Elliot Foster, and further strikes from Ryan Bateman, Aaron Barber, Aeneas Robinson and James Mitchell helped Colne to a comfortable victory, despite a spirited fightback from Barnoldswick in the second half.
Charlie Parker was the star man for Colne.
In a hard-fought game, Colne’s Under 15s Blue went out 2-1 to scrambled late goal fron cup holders Fulledge.
Colne started brightly in their first game for three months, and Matthew Pates scored from long range to put them ahead.
Whenever Fulledge got though on the break they found Colne keeper Joseph Bottomley in outstanding form.
However, Fulledge came back strongly in the second half as Colne tired and their lack of match fitness showed.
Colne defenders put in fine performances with Matthew Langstroth named man of the match.
After getting a close range equaliser, Fulledge snatched a winner from a deflection.
