SECOND Division Boca Clarets booked their place in the semi-finals of the Pendle Charity League Cup following a brilliant 5-0 win against Premier Division opponents Sacred Heart United.
Adam Blackburn, Lee Lord, Daniel Russell, Guilio Enea and Daniel Waite were on target, and they join Crown FC, Pendle Blues Athletic and SKK Blacko in the last four.
In the Premier Division, Crown FC moved level on points with the leaders after a 1-0 win against Life FC, while Trawden Venue drew 2-2 with Graham Engineering Redskins. A solitary goal from substitute Lloyd Whiteoak secured maximum points for Crown. Carl Ellerton and Rob Lawless were on target for Venue, but Redskins gained a point thanks to strikes from Gareth Hargreaves and Nathan Edwards. Sacred Heart moved to within two points of the leaders after defeating Pendle Blues 2-1. Danny Robinson and Eddie Caddis gave Hearts a 2-0 lead, but a well-taken Michael Riley free kick reduced the arrears.
Station Hotel and Timmy Ts shared four goals. Tom Clark and Adam Crew scored for Station, while Scottt Barlow and Michael Uprichard replied for Timmys.
In the First Division, Crooked Billet held title hopefuls Pendle Blues Athletic to a 1-1 draw. Jon Hopkinson put Billet ahead, but Daniel Ibbetson equalised. In-form Financial Affairs moved within two points of leaders Colne Town after a 5-1 win against Golden Ball. A brace from Jake Walker Judge, along with goals from Gavin Boyle, Gareth Boyle and Ross Whittaker, secured the points. George and Dragon Athletic lost ground after a 6-1 setback against SKK Blacko. Anthony Hartley hit a hat-trick, to add to a brace from Scott Turner and a Lee Hartley effort. Paul Carey scored Dragon’s consolation. Lanway eased relegation worries after a 7-0 win against Shooters Clarets, and Sacred Heart Celtic Development squad drew 1-1 with Paak AFC. Aaron Horsfall scored for Celtic while Paak’s reply came from Attiq Rehman.
Fence FC went second in the Second Division after beating Pendle Renegades 5-3 thanks to an Andy Hakin hat-trick and goals from Sam Halstead and Jonathan Booker. Scott Myers replied with a hat-trick for Renegades. A Zahid Zayat brace and a Muzafaar Rauf strike gave Pendle Athletic a 3-1 win against Life Athletic. Farooq Hussain scored Life’s consolation. Matt Bowker gained a point for Barnoldswick Barons in a 1-1 draw against Colne Cougars, and Jimmy Gray and Lewis Rowan struck for Lord Nelson against AFC Veterans, but Danny Gildert and Andy Commons replied for Veterans in a 2-2 outcome.
