PENDLE Council’s Development Management Committee meets this evening to determine three applications where area councillors have made decisions against the recommendations of planning officers.
The meeting at Nelson Town Hall will decide on plans to erect a 10kw wind turbine in Bracewell - refused by the West Craven Committee on grounds of visual amenity - retrospective plans to change the use of offices in Spring Lane, Colne, to a gym - approved by the Colne and District Committee as it had been operating for 18 months without complaints - and plans to build 106 homes on the former James Nelson’s sports field in Nelson, which the Nelson Committee turned down on grounds of access and highway safety.
