Wembley hero Wade Elliott makes his first return to Burnley tomorrow with the Blues.
Burnley boss Eddie Howe explained it was a tough decision to let him go in August: “The difficult one with Wade’s experience - and he’s played in the Premier League and had a fantastic career - was was he going to play every week?
“He’d reached the stage of his Burnley career where possibly he needed a fresh challenge.
“We were disappointed to lose him and what he brings to the group, he’s a fantastic professional, really looked after his body.
“He comes back with all the best wishes of every Burnley supporter, what a player he was for the club, and our best wishes because we enjoyed working with him.”
