THE carpet’s ready to be rolled out for this year’s Pendle Business Awards.
The judges have visited all the Pendle companies shortlisted for the prestigious awards - and they’ve decided who’ll take the title in each category.
Their lips will remain sealed until the winners are revealed at the ceremony on Friday, April 27th, at the ACE Centre, Nelson.
The stage is set and the red carpet is ready to be rolled out for the Oscar-style evening, organised by Pendle Vision and Pendle Council.
A total of 250 guests, including all the shortlisted companies, are expected to attend the event.
It will start with a champagne reception followed by a gala meal before the winners are announced.
Allan Buck, who sits on Pendle Vision Board, is thrilled that this year - the third year of the awards - there has been the highest number of strong applications from local companies.
He said: “We have a lot of very successful businesses in Pendle that deserve recognition and this is an ideal way to do it.
“This year it’s already proving to be bigger and better than ever as we had a fantastic number of excellent entries.
“The entries show we have lots of dynamic companies at the cutting edge and world leaders in their field.
“It was an extremely difficult task shortlisting and then choosing the winners as they were all of a very high standard!”
Dennis Mendoros, chairman of Pendle Vision and managing director of Euravia Engineering and Supply Co. Ltd, will welcome guests with Stephen Barnes, Chief Executive of Pendle Council.
Dennis added: “It’s a pleasure that once again we’re able to celebrate our local companies which help to make Pendle a better place in which to live and work.
“Pendle’s economic future is directly related to the organic growth of existing successful businesses. Therefore, it is important we recognise all thriving businesses and successful people in our community.
“Now we know who has won each category, the excitement is mounting and we’re all looking forward to the awards ceremony and spilling the beans!”
