DO you think you could join the hundreds of foster carers already discovering the rewards of sharing their lives with children who need a home?

Come along to find out more, have a cup of tea and a chat with experienced social workers at an information evening on Wednesday between 7pm and 9pm at the Pendle Children and Parenting Support Service in Burnley Road, Colne.

The aim of the evening is to provide you with information to help you decide whether to take the next step in pursuing your interest in fostering.

During the evening there will be a presentation by a fostering team manager and assistant team manager, some short DVDs, and an experienced Lancashire foster carer who will share some of their experiences as well as assist with answering any questions arising during the evening. Refreshments will be provided.

The county council acts as the “corporate” parent for over 1,350 children and young people from birth to 18. All of these children and young people need homes where they can feel wanted, safe, and secure.

If you’re unable to come along on Wednesday, visit www.lancashire.gov.uk/love or call 0800 195 1183.
