IN the Nelson and District Semi-Snooker League First Division, Chris Mount put in a run of 42 up at the Gravel and helped Poultry B to a 5-0 win over Paradise A, to put Poultry in joint top place with St Andrew’s.
St Andrew’s suffered a 3-2 loss at home to Poultry A, who now move into third position.
Alexandra moved into fourth place after a 5-0 away win over an unlucky Liberal A, for whom nothing went their way.
Lamb B managed a 3-2 home win over their A side, while Martin Ingham had a run of 34 for Briercliffe, who ended up 3-2 home winners over Burnley Miners, and Carters A pulled off a 3-2 home win over Worsthorne.
In the Second Division, Derek Hart put in a run of 39 for top placed White Lea Head in their 3-2 away win over Dressers E, for whom Jason Lee had a break of 40.
Colne Dressers share second place after a 4-1 away win over Paradise A, whose only winner was veteran John Hayes.
Elsewhere Molly Rigby’s B also moved into second place despite a 3-2 loss away to Nelson Golf Club, while David Street A found some form and moved up the table with a 5-0 whitewash at home to St Andrew’s B.
Shorthomers B managed a 3-2 home win over Byerden House B, and Brierfield Liberal came away from Exchange Street with a 3-2 away win against Tacklers A.
In the Third Division, Shorthomers D moved into joint top position after a 3-2 home win over Molly Rigby’s A, and share top place with inactive Poultry D.
Foulridge Social Club are in third place after securing a 3-2 home win over Shorthomers C, while David Street B moved up the table after a 3-2 away win over Old Band C.
Dressers C pulled off a 5-0 whitewash over a travelling Lamb C with almost every frame being decided on a black ball, Alan Hodgson had a run of 26 for the away team but lost on the black to Terry Darcy. Lamb D gained a 4-1 home win over Dressers B, and Tacklers B came out 3-2 winners over their C team.
