THE 2013 Season at Marden Park Golf Club got off to a different start - the snow-covered course was unplayable, but this did not stop the club from going ahead with the Captains’ Drive-In.
Lindon Shaw, who was captain 15 years ago, is the 2013 captain, with Wendy Brearley lady captain and Tyler Baxter junior captain.
Over 40 members supported the first official event of the season, and were treated to hot soup and roll in the clubhouse afterwards.
The club is open to new members, which includes, men, ladies and juniors, and details can be obtained in the golf shop on 661912.
