Colne FC Chairman Dave Blacklock and Vice President Jim O’Donnell are pictured presenting a framed shirt signed by the Reds’ squad to President Lee Duerden and Shaun O’Neill.
The shirt was presented in appreciation of the pair’s continued support and services to the club, in what has been an excellent season both on and off the field.
Meanwhile, Colne are to host a free football trial game with Pro-Direct Soccer Academy at the XLCR Holt House Stadium a week today, meet 1 p.m. for a 1-30 p.m. kick-off.
Players are asked to bring shin pads and boots. Playing kit will be provided.
Pro-Direct Soccer Academy are looking for keen footballers aged between 16-18 to showcase their footballing talent, with the hope of achieving a full-time two-year scholarship at Colne.
Selected players will complete a Btec Level 2 and 3 in sport and active leisure while training full time.
A normal week will consist of two days’ education and two days’ football coaching.
Also within the football scholarship programme, competitive games will be played against colleges, semi-professional and professional youth teams
Alongside the Football programme and education, scholars are also provided with full training kits, FA coaching awards and gym instruction qualifications.
