A couple kissed and said goodbye in the dock when they were sentenced for drug dealing.
Burnley Crown Court was told Damien Drury and Janette McLung-Barclay sold drugs from their home in Larch Street, Nelson.
They were caught after an undercover police officer acquired an introduction through another addict. Individual £10 deals of heroin were bought on four separate days.
Heroin addict Drury (34), who also had mental health problems, was jailed for two and half years after pleading guilty to four counts of supply.
The court was told the heroin wraps came ready to distribute. Drury agreed to supply the drugs after he was threatened and told he should do it as a way of paying off a £2,000 debt owed for crack cocaine and heroin. He accepted responsibility for drawing his partner, McLung-Barclay, into the arrangement.
Mr Recorder Tony Cross said he was satisfied the drugs were delivered by “other players”.
McLung-Barclay (43) pleaded guilty to one count of supply. The court was told she produced a wrap from her bra when the undercover officer asked to buy a £10 deal.
She was given a three-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with 12 months supervision.
