It is believed a 77-year-old man who went missing from his home in Blackpool last week could be in Colne.
Robert Whipp was last seen by his wife at his home address on Penrose Avenue around 9am on Monday 3rd June but has not been seen or in contact with his family since.
Police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and are appealing for anybody that knows of his current whereabouts to contact them.
PC Mark Southwell from Lancashire Police said: “Robert has been missing for over a week now and his disappearance is out of character. He has previously lived in Colne and it is believed he may have travelled back there.
“Police are appealing to anybody that has seen him since 3rd June or knows where he could be to call them on 101.”
Robert is described as being white, around 5ft 11inches tall, slim build and bald. He was last seen wearing tinted glasses with a grey t-shirt, black leather jacket and blue jeans.
