Two people had to be cut free from a car which was in collision with a wall near a new housing development in Clitheroe Road, Brierfield, on Sunday night.
Fire crews were called to the scene at around 11-30pm to release the driver and a passenger from the vehicle.
The driver of the car is understood to have broken his arm in two places.
The passenger suffered less serious injuries.
Both were taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.
