Ribblesdale League champions Barnoldswick won the senior league’s match of the day at New Lane on Saturday.
Dismissed for 120, after Gerard Metcalf took 5-46 for the hosts, second placed Barlick bowled out Oswaldtwistle Immanuel for only 101, with substitute professional Mohammed Rehman taking 5-46.
Opener Matthew Nutter anchored the Barnoldswick innings, making 35 off 66 balls before being third man out at 90, having shared 62 with Umar Saddique (37).
In reply, Immanuel’s best partnership was the 35 put on for the ninth wicket between Andrew Metcalf (30) and Andreas Sudnik (5 not out), as Rehman wreaked havoc.
Barlick host Read tomorrow.
Earby, meanwhile, lost at Brooksbottom by 37 runs.
They made a good start, after losing the toss, with both openers back in the pavilion with the score on 14.
Brooksbottom professional Allan Armer dug in, making 82, while Zohaib Qureshi crashed 38 off 25 deliveries. Mr Extras added 44 as the innings closed on 208-9, Richard Craddock taking 4-66 off 16, and Danny Kegg and Jay Lockley claimed two each.
Earby openers Fahid Rehman and Matt Wilson had 60 runs on the board after just seven overs before Wilson was stumped for 36. But after Arron Pollard (4) was caught for 4 and Rehman (38) bowled in the 12th over, Earby were 86-3, which became 91-4 when Iain Clarkson went without scoring. Kegg and Craddock (34) added 46, but Martyn Windle, skipper Pete Baistow and Jason Lockley had all gone by the time the score reached 152.
Matt Garner (11 not out) and Jake Hargreaves were starting to pick their way into the batting points until Hargreaves was trapped.
On Saturday Earby host Great Harwood.
