A brave team leader endured an intense waxing experience to raise funds for his store’s charity of the year.
Michael Cawdrey (24), who works at The Co-operative, in Market Street, was left silky smooth on his legs, chest and back, after he agreed to be at the centre of the hair-raising challenge.
With the help of customers, staff members, and beautician Katie Lawrence, the event raised an impressive £365 for Carers Trust.
Mr Cawdrey said: “We decided to do something a bit more outrageous than normal, to get more attention, and I was the number one target.
“It was very painful, but worthwhile for the money we raised.
“Everybody pulled together to make it a success.”
