A group of lads have come together to form a new local team in the North Valley League.
Trawden Celtic Under 9s Black came about as an increasing number of boys were attending weekly training sessions with coach Simon Whittam, but league rules limited the number of lads who could play in the matches.
To give them a chance to all play in the league, two teams have been created in the Under 9s league for the 2013/2014 season.
The new Blacks team have played in pre-season tournaments at Giggleswick, Silsden and Glusburn and achieved credible results for a newly-formed team.
The boys are looking forward to their first full season as a team, and are looking for a sponsor for a new strip.
