Pendle Athletic Club star Matthew Dutton is ready to put himself through the pain barrier in his bid to reach the Olympics.
Matthew, 17, has dreams of making the 2020 Games and is moving up the rankings, while also studying a Level 2 BTEC in Sport at Blackburn College.
Former Pendle Vale pupil Matthew, from Nelson, recently finished seventh in the North West Regional cross country championships, and will now represent the North West in the National Championships next April.
Matthew has already represented Lancashire on the track and said: “My dream is the Olympics and I believe I can get there.”
