Local tennis coach Iain Taylor was named the Lancashire Development Coach of the Year for 2013 at the Lancashire Lawn Tennis Associations Awards presentation evening at the Bolton Arena at the Reebok Stadium.
All the top brass of the Lancashire Lawn Tennis Association were unanimous in their praise of Crow Wood Leisure Centre’s professional coach, and said the award to Iain was more than well deserved for his outstanding coaching ability’s and organization skills.
Iain is a well respected tennis player and coach throughout Lancashire and he is regarded as being a top coach, not only by the Lancashire LTA, but by the ruling body in Great Britain, The Lawn Tennis Association, as a UKCC level 4 coach.
The junior teams that Iain has coached at another tennis club in the area also gained awards at the presentation.
The Aegon Mini Tennis Red, 8s and Under Team-Tennis Division Three champions - Sikinder Ali Choudrey, James Ashworth, Josh Tait and Edward Burrow, and the Aegon 14 and Under Division Two champions - Marley Byrne, Matthew Barlow, Daniel Frost and Harry Wheatcroft.
